The world faces a dire threat due to the influences of climate change, the over-extraction of natural resources, extreme wealth disparity, and much more. What\u2019s more, when done thoughtlessly, travel and tourism can exacerbate these problems. Everything from the mistreatment of natural ecosystems to the loss of precious cultural traditions can accelerate the damage that these threats can cause. However, due to the size and impact of the travel industry as a whole, by working together we can exercise a powerful positive influence on these developments.
