We\u2019ve compiled a list of some of the most well-known and famed markets in London to help you whittle down your choices.<\/p>\n

Camden Market<\/h2>\n

One of the most famous areas of London thanks to its association with artists is Camden Market – home to a raucous, party-like atmosphere on market days. You\u2019ll see quirky artwork, foods from all over the world, street buskers, and more. In the shops, you\u2019ll find a wide variety of goods for sale, though Camden tends to be the place to go for trendy fashion \u2013 vintage clothing is big here although new, high street fashion is starting to encroach in the neighborhood. Open every day from 10am until late, take the tube to Camden Town or the 24 bus to Camden Market. Sundays are usually the most crowded!<\/p>\n

Borough Market<\/h2>\n

The oldest food market in London dating all the way back to Roman times, Borough Market has occupied its current location for the last 250 years and is known for its connection to famous movies such as Harry Potter. Quality is emphasized here as fresh food is brought in from all across the UK to be sold under the Dickensian wrought-iron roof of the market. Come hungry! The full market is open Wednesday-Saturday with a limited market opening on Mondays and Tuesdays. The closest tube station is Borough or London Bridge, each a short 5 minute walk from the market.<\/p>\n

Leadenhall Market<\/h2>\n

Located in the heart of the City of London and established back in 1321, Leadenhall Market is another classic destination for good eating in the city. It is known primarily for the ornate roofing structure covering the market, painted in green, cream, and maroon and designed by Sir Horace Jones in 1881. Enter the market via Gracechurch Street after a short walk from Monument<\/a> station.<\/p>\n
