La Sagrada Fam\u00edlia <\/span><\/h2>\n

Known as Gaud<\/span>\u00ed<\/span>\u2019s masterpiece, <\/span>Sagrada Fam<\/span>\u00ed<\/span>lia <\/span><\/a>has been in construction since 1892 and isn\u2019t expected to be complete until 2026! Sagrada Fam<\/span>\u00ed<\/span>lia pays homage to the traditional Gothic cathedral but features a geometric style specific to Gaud<\/span>\u00ed<\/span>. The artist devoted his last years to Sagrada Fam<\/span>\u00ed<\/span>lia, and visitors can feel the immense heart and soul that he poured into every aspect of the design. <\/span><\/p>\n

Casa Batll\u00f3<\/span><\/h2>\n

Once an old conventional house built in 1877, Gaud<\/span>\u00ed transformed Casa Batll\u00f3 into the ideal form of Modernisme (Catalan art nouveau). The exterior features a lovely display of ceramics, natural stone, forged iron, and a colorful mosaic known as trencad\u00eds. Casa Batll\u00f3 also goes by the House of Bones, due to its abnormal skeletal design. The roof is scaled with fantastical, glimmering tiles, creating the illusion of a dragon\u2019s tail flickering in the midday sun. <\/span><\/p>\n

Parc G\u00fcell<\/span><\/h2>\n

Commissioned by Eusebi G\u00fcell in the early 1900s, Parc G\u00fcell is an elaborate garden complex that houses a series of <\/span>Gaud<\/span>\u00ed<\/span>\u2019s<\/span> work. The park is the perfect example of the architect\u2019s personal style, featuring imperfect shapes and irregular ceramic pieces. Visitors can easily spend the entire afternoon here strolling through nature and admiring the intricate artwork. Don\u2019t miss the view of Barcelona from the terrace, featuring <\/span>Gaud<\/span>\u00ed<\/span>\u2019s<\/span> signature trencad\u00eds in the foreground. <\/span><\/p>\n

Casa Mil\u00e1 <\/span><\/h2>\n

From the outside, Casa Mil\u00e1 appears more mountain than building. <\/span>Gaud<\/span>\u00ed sought to reflect the irregularities of the natural world and to reflect that organic beauty through a human-made building. The exterior features a smooth mass of stone and forged iron balconies, but the most shocking feature is found on the rooftop.
